Ceol is located within the Seafield Hotel in Kilkerran Road. The hotel was originally a handsome stone villa, built in 1836 for the Mitchell family, owners of the famous Springbank Distillery and overlooks the legendary Campbeltown Loch. Although only five minutes’ walk from the centre of town and two minutes from the Campbeltown to Ardrossan ferry terminal, both the Seafield and sister hotel the Ardshiel, are located in a quiet, residential area of the town with private and on-road parking available.

Ceol events have a maximum capacity of 100 and seating is arranged in rows to optimise the listening experience. Normally, the venue and bar will open one hour before concert time and the gig will consist of 2 x 45 minute sets with a 15-20 minute break in between. Normally, there is no support act.
Please note that the bar is an adjacent room but will be closed during performances.
However, you are welcome to bring your drinks into the venue room prior to the gig starting and at the interval. During the performance, we would ask you not to talk over the artistes’ performance out of respect both to them and also to your fellow members of the audience. Please note that if anyone in the audience persists in this type of behaviour they are likely to be hit with our ultimate sanction, the infamous Ceol Teltagram!
